Hello, and welcome to ChristopherSladky.com.
I'm currently a Program Manager in the Natural Language Group (part of Office) at Microsoft.
So far even in my short (relatively) time in the group, I've had my hands on
a variety of forward-thinking projects touching many parts of the group.
While I can't go into too much detail here, I've worked on some of our most-requested
writing aids, some of our most-recognizable UI, and projects to make our software
fill the needs of even larger population segments. Each has been more than rewarding
both for what we've contributed and what I've experienced and learned.
While I love to think about problems at a high-level, these projects have helped reinforce
my ability to see ideas through the entire creation to release process and have provided valuable
perspective on how various factors can contribute to a successful core design.
My real passion is design and user experience, although I have many other interests within
the field of computing (such as mobile development, web development,
networking, embedded devices, and multimedia). In general, I can hold my own at programming, but I savor opportunities
to work in design rather than just coding. I enjoy any chance to contribute
to improving people's real world experiences, particularly in fast-paced and innovative
environments paired with flawless execution. I'm also very interested in the
amusement/attractions industry.
I love to learn new things. I enjoy learning about new areas within technology,
and I like to think that I can
pick up new languages without too much trouble. For example, I learned PHP in
the creation of this website (see the site info section for more information).
Although I may not have as many coding languages under my belt as some, I have
a passion and eagerness to learn; I am capable
of acquiring the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in laungages and frameworks
I'm not currently familiar with.
Welcome, and enjoy! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me as
noted above; I'll be happy to help however I can!

The best way to contact me is to email me
here. If you include the word
"site" in the subject line, it will definitely, absolutely not get spam filtered. For other
ways to contact me, please see my resume (available by emailing me, though most visitors
likely already have a copy). Since this is a public site,
I'd rather not post that information here. Thank you for your understanding.
